About Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

The double eccentric butterfly valve, often referred to as a high-performance butterfly valve, is highly regarded for its minimal maintenance demands. Its primary application extends to the drainage systems of water plants, power plants, steel manufacturing, the chemical industry, water source engineering, environmental facility construction, and various other sectors. Particularly well-suited for water pipelines, this double eccentric butterfly valve serves as both a regulation and interception tool. Butterfly valves are valves which control the flow with the 90°angle turning of the disc. DISAI butterfly valves are double eccentric and rubber sealing ring is kept in place by single piece retaining ring. This design ensures 100% sealing and makes it possible to change the sealing ring without special equipment and dismantling of any parts other than retaining ring.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The eccentric principle is that the stem shaft is both deviated from the valve body center,also deviated from the seat. The double eccentricity effect allows the butterfly plate to quickly detach from the valve seat when the valve is opened, greatly eliminates unnecessary excessive

What is the difference between double eccentric butterfly valve, triple eccentric butterfly valve and zero eccentric butterfly valve?

Double eccentric butterfly valve have two offsets and are available in carbon steel, stainless steel, Hastelloy and other ANSI Class 600 rated body materials, with a variety of PTFE seats and fireproof designs with metal backed seats. Double offset butterfly valves are suitable for a wide range of applications, including high pressure and high temperature environments.
Triple eccentric butterfly valves have three eccentricities and are designed for demanding applications with high pressure, high temperature and corrosive fluids.
Zero-eccentric butterfly valves have no offset and are suitable for low pressure, cryogenic and general-purpose applications where tight shutoff is not important.
